Appendix B - Basic Scales

These are the basic fingerings for several common scales across two octaves, starting and ending on a root note. So, to play an A Major Scale, just put your second finger on an A note and play the scale as written. Please refer to the Chord Charts And Scale Patterns section of this web site for additional information on reading these diagrams.
