Lesson 11 - "Open" Chords

Open chords are a types of chords where you keep one or more strings open as you change chords. (The concept is referred to as a "pedal point" in music theory terminology.) When playing guitar using open chords you have some great opportunities for creating some very pretty chord patterns.
Over the next few pages I will present the following types of "open chords":
